The Every Day Counts Attendance Challenge (EDCAC) is aimed at eliminating chronic absenteeism by raising awareness, using external motivation (ie. incentives) to improve the attendance rates of K-12 youth.
Each month winners are selected by lottery drawing from the pool of registered students. Students must be enrolled and attending schools under the Oakland Unified School District. Students must have 95% attendance each round to be selected.
